Opening Ceremony: Akwaba – Opening Ceremony with speakers and guests was held in October 19th, 2015
Tours with Adventure Junkies: October 20, 21, 23, 2015 to Shai Hills, Hans Cottage, Kakum Nature Reserve and Elmina Enslavement Castle.
Pre conference workshops:
Pre conference workshops were held at MEST and Lancaster University on the 19th and 20th of October.
• Guest Lecture and one-to-one sessions with MEST and Lancaster University entailed: How students could run projects more efficiently with the Scrum framework
• Images will be available on AiA website for viewing.
Beach-front Party: Was held at the Labadi Beach Hotel on Saturday, October 24th
The 2-Days events commenced successfully on 21st-22nd October 2015.
Day 1 commenced at 9:00AM to 16:30PM, with the theme – “Oganisation Transformation”
Day 2 commenced at Day 9:00AM to 17:10PM, with the theme – “Building High Performing Teams from the Boardroom to the Shop Floor”
• Followed by retrospective and closing ceremony
The First AiA conference 2015 stood out as a monumental event. Many in attendance reported feedback to the organising team as – inspiring; amazing; one of a kind; the way forward for Africa; and looking forward to the next event next year.
